Sugibuchi set up Sessa Partners based on a strong conviction that demand for professional services for corporate access will rise, given that EU's Mifid II coming in force, will push global investors make direct contact to corporates. Prior to starting up the firm, Sugibuchi worked as an investor relations and governance adviser for corporate clients at the investment banking unit of Mizuho Financial Group. He also spent 20 years conducting equity research sales in Tokyo, Hong Kong and Singapore covering institutional investors for Mizuho, Dresdner Kleinwort and Societe Generale. Through his rich experience in both primary and secondary markets, Sessa Partners is the top specialist in Japan capable of providing astute, independent solutions for corporate access as a non MiFID firm.
