Kenichi Sugimoto

Joined Nomura Research Institute in 1986. After working as a consumer goods analyst, the individual gained experience as an Asian stock analyst and investment trust fund manager for the Nomura Group.
At two US investment banks, Sugimoto served as a Research Producer and Supervisory Analyst, supporting the creation of investment ideas by the Japanese analyst team, working in close proximity to foreign institutional investors. At Nomura Asset Management, Sugimoto was responsible for coordinating the Japanese equity research team. Subsequently, he served as the Chief Representative of the company's Seoul Representative Office. Joined Nomura Securities in 1981 and began his career as a securities analyst. After that, he moved to Salomon Brothers Asia Securities (currently Citigroup Securities) as a senior analyst. Receive ranking analyst evaluation multiple times in major analyst ranking surveys. Since 1998, he has worked in research management and research department of the equity research team at Merrill Lynch Japan Securities (currently Bank of America Securities) and Mizuho Securities. During his time at Merrill Lynch, he also served as a member of the Global Research Team's Investment Rating Committee.

After working in the Corporate Research Department and the Equity Department (FM), he was seconded to Yasuda Fire Brinson Investment Management, where he served as the Team Leader for corporate research and portfolio management. Subsequently, Watanabe joined Nomura Securities Investment Trust Management Co., Ltd. (now Nomura Asset Management Co., Ltd.), where they worked as an analyst covering the Electronics sector before engaging in Fund Management.
